High Intensity Strobe Light

Model Power Flash Rate (Max) Description
MVS-5002 12VDCV/42W 15 Hz The MVS 5000 is a DC-powered unit. The linear xenon flashlamp is packaged in a metal enclosure with a fan for cooling. This strobe incorporates a reflector for maximum intensity and a diffuser window for even illumination of the target area. Input power and signal level cable connections are made through a 9-pin connector mounted on the back of the unit.
MVS-3001 or
MVS-3001E
115 VAC or 220 VAC 60Hz These systems are particularly useful when conventional fiber optic or structured lighting systems cannot provide sufficient illumination for a particular area. The MVS 3001 and 3008 drive linear and ring flashlamps. With an appropriate reflector and a linear flashlamp, illumination is increased and light can be projected to a specified area. A ring flashlamp can be positioned around the lens assembly of a CCD camera in a production inspection system, thereby allowing the camera to be located closer to the object plane.
MVS-4000 12 VDC / 42W 50 Hz The MVS 4000 operates from an input voltage of 12 VDC. The trigger input circuit is optically isolated, requiring a 5 volt pulse to flash. The metal enclosure contains a printed circuit module, a 0.75 inch arc quartz flashlamp, and reflector. Inputs are made via a 9-pin connector located on the rear of the strobe.
MVS-4100 90-230 VAC / 20W 100 Hz  These 20 Watt strobes are housed in a convection-cooled, rugged enclosure. Threaded hoses at the bottom of the enclosure allow the unit to be hard mounted. The MVS 4100 has an optically isolated trigger input and requires an external +5V TTL pulse to flash. The MVS 4200 has an internal oscillator and can be run in either external or internal trigger mode. The MVS 4200 is ideal as a stand-alone unit for “stroboscopic” applications.
MVS-5000 or
MVS-5000UV
12 VDC / 42W 30 Hz The MVS 5000 is a DC-powered unit.
MVS-5004 12 VDC / 42W 60Hz The MVS 5000 is a DC-powered unit.
MVS-5002UV 12 VDC / 42W 60Hz The MVS 5000 is a DC-powered unit.
MVS-5410-01 90-230 VAC / 20W 200 Hz The MVS 5410 is a self contained, AC-powered unit packaged in a rugged metal enclosure designed for industrial applications. It is fitted with a polycarbonate window for safety and an adjustable bracket for maximum convenience and flexibility in mounting. Its output may be externally triggered or controlled by an internal source, which is adjustable from the convenient front control panel. Input cable connections and cooling vents are protectively located on the rear panel. Line power is supplied through a line cord receptacle and a country–specific line cord which is included. External trigger input is applied through a five pin DIN connector. A control cable with mating connector is supplied with each unit.
MVS-5760-02 90-230 VAC / 60W 1 Hz The MVS-5700 series illuminators are high intensity, low flash rate, Xenon strobes for direct illumination applications. An IR bandpass filter eliminates all the visible light from the Xenon spectrum. The system is ideal as a high intensity, invisible IR source for applications such as license plate illumination on moving vehicles or nighttime surveillance. The flashlamp system is housed in a NEMA type 3R enclosure to provide protection against harsh environments. This strobe can also be used without the filter for any application that requires a large area of intense illumination at flash rates up to 1 kHz. Two power supply options are available with energies up to 20 J and 50 J per flash. The intensity can be controlled with an external reference signal and a trigger input allows you to synchronize the flash with your camera. The spectral output of the Xenon flashlamp covers the full spectrum from ultraviolet (UV) through the visible (VIS) to the near infrared (NIR). The standard IR filter supplied removes all the wavelengths under 780 nm, making the strobe invisible to the human eye. The spectral output can be changed to match your application by simply changing the bandpass filter. Additionally, two reflector options are available for narrow beam (8º) or a wide beam (25º) configuration.
